The Messenger is an excellent and efficient retro platformer.

I’m not trying to sound hyperbolic; CrossCode is just that good.

Short and derivative, though enjoyably so, it’s difficult to recommend Whipseey for anything less than a deep discount sale.

Axiom Verge is a bland and derivative adventure platformer.

Genre fans looking for something especially punishing may see past Cathedral’s otherwise mundane design.
