After five installments, A Clockwork Conspiracy is the first time I have felt the Trine series has become tired.

Neva’s basic platforming keeps me playing. Its haunting visuals keep me fascinated.

MainFrames performs an admirable double trick as a challenging, skill-based platformer and a thoughtful puzzler.

Trine 4 is made with refinement, intelligence, and heart. It is easily the best videogame in the series so far.

Animal Well is a remarkable feat of non-linear videogame design.

Recommending or not recommending Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power is pointless.

Trine 2’s biggest problem is it’s too much like the first Trine.

Trine’s dated physics engine makes it feel unique and memorable.
